Former NYC paramedic was life of the party

NORTH PORT — Best known for his thick, bushy, handlebar mustache and unforgettable New York accent, Mike Noonan was the voice announcing each float at the city’s annual Poinsettia Parade.
Noonan was also the “larger-than-life guy” who went to Glenallen Elementary School to make his 11-year-old twin boys, Liam Craine and Finbar Daniel, and their friends laugh at lunchtime. He emceed at North Port’s annual Sept. 11 memorial service, remembering his childhood friends who died tragically, and helped raise funds for the local Knights of Columbus.
