PLACIDA — Larry Nicol thought Friday he was going out for a nice lunch with his wife Gail and sons, Kevin and Sean, at the Fishery Restaurant. But he was surprised to see the restaurant crowded with longtime Englewood residents and friends.

Larry was even more surprised when he learned he was this year’s recipient of the Englewood-Cape Haze Chamber of Commerce’s Secret Society of Smoked Mullets Award.
