The Florida Tarpons took home three awards handed out by the United Indoor Football League on Friday.
Unbeaten Florida nearly swept the league’s Southern Conference honors, taking three of the four awards. The Tarpons’ Michael Taylor won coach of the year, Terrance Jones took defensive player of the year and Ross Gornall is special teams player of the year. Eastern Kentucky’s Aric Evans won the conference’s only other award, taking offensive player of the year.
