ST. PETERSBURG (AP) — St. Petersburg Police are investigating after a woman fell to her death from a third-floor balcony.

Police said 24-year-old Alexandra Gardner may have been trying to get into her friend’s locked apartment from the balcony. A friend tried to save her, but lost his grip on Gardner.

She died around 1:30 a.m.
Saturday morning.

Homicide detectives said the death is suspicious.
