PUNTA GORDA — One day before the deadline to qualify as a candidate expires at noon today, three-term City Councilman Charles Wallace said Thursday he remained undecided about whether he will seek re-election.

The only candidate to submit qualification papers for the District 1 council seat, Kim Nickelson-Devine, said she wasn’t surprised over Wallace’s ambivalence. She said she spoke to Wallace about his re-election intentions before she filed to run
May 17. Wallace said back then he was undecided, Nickelson-Devine said.
