SARASOTA COUNTY — Sarasota County School District Superintendent Lori White plans to retire in 2017.
White, 57, has held the post since 2006 and under her stewardship Sarasota County has performed well, garnering an “A” grade and ranking fourth overall out of Florida’s 67 school districts on the 2011 Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test — behind only the St. Johns, Santa Rosa and Martin school districts.
