Concert planned to help needy children, orphans

NORTH PORT — A local concert featuring a classical pianist is planned to help Eastern European orphanages, as well as needy children in North Port.
Longtime Warm Mineral Springs resident Elizabeth Nazarian, 70, collects donations through her nonprofit organization Direct Help to Eastern Europe and sends money to caregivers of children in Poland and Ukraine who have lost their parents.
