The Charlotte County Commission is scheduled to vote on an ordinance that would ban consumption of alcohol in county parks within Community Redevelopment Areas.

Commissioners will hear public comment on the matter at the their regular meeting, which begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the County Administration Building. The ordinance, in effect, would prohibit drinking at Chester Roberts, Bayshore Live Oak, Edgewater, North Charlotte Regional, Lake Betty and McGuire parks.
