Turtle trial ends in guilty verdict

PUNTA GORDA — An Englewood woman was found guilty Tuesday of knowingly disturbing a loggerhead sea turtle nest, a third-degree felony.
A six-member jury took less than an hour to convict 76-year-old Juanita Schultz. The loggerhead sea turtle is an endangered species protected by state and federal law.
