The GFWC Woman’s Club of Port Charlotte installed four new members at its January meeting. Membership chairwoman Mary Sampiere led the installation ceremony, presenting each new member with a red rose, symbol of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, and a club yearbook.
Orientation for these and other members of the club was held Feb. 15. At that time, the women learned more about the largest volunteer women’s service club in the world and the history of its accomplishments. Woman’s Club members are proud of their service to local charities, veterans and scholarships.
