The 2012 Powder Puff Queen is Sandy Lesperance, proudly holding the famous pink trophy from the Powder Puff Charity Classic Golf Tournament, held Feb. 10-12 this year at Port Charlotte Golf Club, that gets passed from year to year to the next lucky queen.
The 33rd annual Powder Puff Charity Classic Golf Tournament was held at the Port Charlotte Golf Club
on Feb. 10, 11 and 12, which benefited TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care. The event has raised more than $167,000 during the past 32 years; last year, the fundraiser raised $7,000 for TideWell. Participants come from all over the U.S. to compete in the three-day tournament, which is formatted on the Stableford Point System and divided into eight flights. The championship flight is low-gross stroke play.
