NORTH PORT — Each time the North Port High School girls basketball team got into the lane Tuesday, it seemed to be followed with the loud, familiar tweet from the referees’ whistles.

Whether it was the post play of Darmesha Washington and Camille Frederick or the dribble-drives of Le’Kyra Smith and Shayla Fortuno, the result was the same against visiting East Lake.
