Marjorie A. Gardner

Marjorie A. (nee Cramer) Gardner, 97, of OSF St. Clare Home, Peoria Heights, Ill., and formerly of North Port, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at St. Clare Home.

She was born in Chicago, Ill.

Marjorie graduated from Immaculata High School and worked for General Electric in Chicago. She was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild and Sacristan at the church. Marjorie was a lifetime member and onetime president of the LaCasa Grandmothers Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail M.(Deacon Frederick) Kruse; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Her husband of 55 years, Louis A. Gardner, preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, in Henry, Ill. Burial was at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, Ill. A memorial Mass will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port. Memorials may be made to San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port.

Arrangements are by Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Henry.
