Ethel L. Breneman

Ethel L. Breneman, 94, of North Port, Fla., passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012.

She was born Sept. 8, 1918, in Findlay, Ohio.

Ethel moved to this area 33 years ago from Van Buran, Ohio. She was a retired School Secretary at Van Buran High School. Ethel was an avid bridge player, and loved baking and decorating birthday cakes for her family and friends; she also enjoyed fishing. She was active at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Findlay, and Lutheran Church of the Living Waters in Port Charlotte, Fla.

Ethel is survived by her daughter, Judith Junge of North Port and Alaska; son, Richard of Oakwood, Ohio; sister, Dorothy Barber of Virginia; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren in Alaska; British Columbia, Canada; Ohio; Florida; Texas; and Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and sister, Cleora Hall.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Lutheran Church of the Living Waters. Memorial donations may be made to Lutheran Church of the Living Waters, Cut-Ups, 12475 Chancellor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33953; or Tidewell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society.
