A Port Charlotte High School teacher is on medical leave and is expected to resign after a parent’s complaint about comments he posted on his Twitter account spurred a district investigation.
Mike Riley, spokesman for Charlotte County Public Schools, said Tuesday that English teacher Greg Voigt, 61, kept a Twitter account that “had about 20 tweets (that were sent) during instructional time. Some students followed his tweets and some of the parents weren’t happy.”
