In a surprising development, the State College of Florida’s Board of Trustees voted 7-0 Tuesday to offer a contract to interim president Carol Probstfeld to be the school’s next president.
Probstfeld accepted the offer during Tuesday night’s special board meeting to discuss aspects of the presidential search on the Lakewood Ranch campus. SCF also has campuses in South Venice and Bradenton.
