NORTH PORT — A petition is circulating to ask the North Port City Commission to reconsider the recent 3-2 vote to sell Warm Mineral Springs Day Spa in its entirety.

The intent of the petition, which is at the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce office, according to chamber Government Relations Committee member Beth Mayberry, is to ask commissioners to look at “opportunities for environmentally sustainable economic development” at the Springs’ 81 acres.
