NORTH PORT — A medical building in the city at 14575 S. Tamiami Trail recently sold for $2.25 million.

In 2008, Zia Butt, who also owns North Port Pines congregate living facility and the Gardens of North Port, purchased the land near the Olde World Restaurant for $330,000. A year later, he built a 6,500-square-foot medical office, which he also managed.
