NORTH PORT — Riverchase Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, which had a ribbon-cutting this week at its newly opened office in the North Port Commons at 14840 Tamiami Trail, has announced it will offer free skin cancer screenings each Tuesday for the remainder of November.

Riverchase operates five other offices in Southwest Florida, including two locations in Naples and one each in Marco Island, Fort Myers and Cape Coral. Dr. Ryan Jawitz, who heads the North Port office, said its services include Mohs surgery (for cancers of the skin), as well as cosmetic and general dermatology.
