Challenger raises more money in Charlotte race
In the race for Charlotte County tax collector, small-business owner Mark Zehr has outpaced incumbent Vickie Potts on the campaign finance trail, raising $2,265 more in total monetary contributions as of July 6, according to the latest campaign finance reports.
Zehr, a newcomer to the political scene, reported $13,595 in total monetary contributions since he officially filed with the county Supervisor of Elections Office on March 1. Total monetary contributions include cash, check and in-kind donations, as well as campaign loans.
