Arcadia isn’t exactly on the list of must-visit cities for food aficionados. But visitors — many of them antique buyers and rodeo buffs — soon discover this out-of-the-way outpost has its fair share of good eats. Once diners savor the daily-made scones with homemade clotted cream or lemon curd at Mary Margaret’s Tea and Biscuit, they’re bound to return. It happens all the time: regular visitors hail from Naples and the West Palm Beach area.

And they don’t mind waiting. Co-owner Dennis Tyson said in-season wait times are often an hour on weekdays, three hours on Saturdays.
