Charlotte County Big Band tributes L.A.

A USO Tour Tribute to Los Angeles will be presented by the Charlotte County Big Band under the direction of John Johnson on Monday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. in the theater of the Cultural Center of Charlotte County, 2280 Aaron St., Port Charlotte.

Featured will be vocal solos by Chris Brown singing “The Way You Look Tonight,” Ed Toscano singing “Someone To Watch Over Me,” Fred Capitelli singing a song made famous in Italy entitled “You Fascinating You,” and John Jordan singing “Cry Me A River.” Wanda Carter will be featured on alto sax playing “Angel Eyes,” Phil Polson will be featured on trombone playing “The Shadow Of Your Smile,” Julio Guerra will be featured on alto sax playing “Nancy,” John Johnson will be featured on string bass playing “This Bass Was Made For Walking,” and Buz Terry will be featured on trumpet playing “Memories of Biz.”
