Television fans have seen Ben Vereen on countless shows such as “Roots,” “How I Met Your Mother” and virtually all the late night talk shows.

Feb. 8 and 9, Vereen will appear at Venice Theatre for three performances of his newest show, “Steppin’ Out Live with Ben Vereen.” The show is billed as “a tribute to Broadway, Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis, Jr. featuring hit songs like “Defying Gravity,” “My Way,” “Mr. Bojangles” and “Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries.” The show was presented first at Manhattan’s club, 54 Below, last summer.
