Thompson, Tufano keep Pirates rolling

PORT CHARLOTTE — There wasn’t much the Port Charlotte High School baseball team did wrong in Monday’s 12-2, six-inning victory against visiting Fort Myers.

The Pirates won their fourth in a row. Joe Thompson collected four hits, including a home run, and five RBIs — the last of which came on a game-ending two-run single in the sixth. And John Tufano pitched Port Charlotte’s third consecutive complete game.
