SARASOTA — Sheriff’s detectives arrested the father of an 11-year-old girl who died after being repeatedly bound and duct-taped.

Kenneth Wayne Stoddard, 35, of Sarasota, was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated child abuse. Additional charges will be filed, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
