PORT CHARLOTTE — A Port Charlotte man is accused of biting his 7-year-old son on the buttocks, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.

Thomas M. Hofmeister, 49, of the 22100 block of Montrose Ave., Port Charlotte, was charged with child abuse Monday in connection with the incident, which allegedly occurred Sept. 21.
