Carole Anne Taylor, 74, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013.

She was born Feb. 24, 1938, in Waterbury, Conn., and came to this area in 1987 from Wilmington, Del.

Carole was retired from DuPont, Colo., as an Information Specialist for 20 years. She also worked as a receptionist with Gasparilla Marina in Englewood. Carole was a member of the Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary in Englewood. She enjoyed life through traveling, cruising, gardening, gambling and nature, and was an avid bingo player.

Carole is survived by her husband of more than 40 years, James; son, Paul Schechinger of Londonderry, N.H.; daughter, Anita Hetherington of Chalfont, Pa.; and four granddaughters.
