Willis Earl Broomhall

Consummate storyteller, Willis Earl Broomhall, of Englewood, Florida departed this earth on January 26, 2013, six years to the day of his twin brother Bill’s death.

He was born to George and Trella Broomhall on November 2, 1918 in Somerton, Ohio, where he spent his youth. He married Evelyn Harp of Barnesville, Ohio on December 20, 1940. After serving in the Navy (Seabees) in Alaska during WWII he returned to Barnesville. In the early 1960s he moved his family to Englewood.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill and his children Rebecca Howell and Kevin Broomhall, his sister Virginia Mann, and Evelyn, his beloved wife of 69 years. Survivors include his daughter, Donna Broomhall, her children Paul Ferguson, Missy Krahel and Mindy Schmidt, as well as his son Robert, his wife Sarah and their children, Christal Caro and Trevor Broomhall.
