George H. Otto Jr., 86, of Rotonda West, Fla., passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013.

He was born June 23, 1926, in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area in 1988 from Maitland, Fla.

Mr. Otto was a retired Architectural Draftsman. He was a member of the American Legion in Rotonda West, and was a U.S. Merchant Marine and also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. George was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Zelma; daughter, Deborah Becker of Casselberry, Fla.; sons, Craig of Miramar Beach, Fla., and Glenn of Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice Inc., 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.

Arrangements are by National Cremation Society of Port Charlotte, Fla.
