David A. Kukula, 57, of Englewood, Fla., passed away suddenly Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, in Blairsville, Ga., at his vacation home.

He was born Aug. 27, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio.

David came to Englewood in the early 1970s. While here he has been part owner of a restaurant, the owner of a combination gas station-tire store, and then became a Realtor and has worked for Key Realty for the past 28 years. David loved classic muscle cars. He was always at all the local car shows in the area with one of his cars. David loved people and was always willing to help them any way he could. He was a big and tall guy with a boyish grin, always joking and making people laugh. And he will be missed by all he knew.

David is survived by his beloved companion of 26 years, Elaine Stanton of Englewood; parents, John and Mary Jane Kukula of Middleburg Heights, Ohio; brother, John Kukula of Westlake, Ohio; and niece, Jordan Kukula of North Ridgeville, Ohio.
