WWII veteran inspires youngsters to write

ENGLEWOOD — Oak Forest resident Art Nicholas is one World War II veteran who is not fading away.
He is a hero and a pen pal to a class of eighth-graders in New Jersey, some of whom have been writing to Nicholas since 2008 and exchanging questions and information about his wartime experiences.
