ENGLEWOOD — Seventy-five people waited anxiously to hear the words of three prominent Florida women scheduled to speak Thursday afternoon at Elsie Quirk library. What would each say? What would they look like? How would Betty Jean Steinshouer pull it off this time?
Then the back door opened and a woman emerged dressed all in black, her head covered against the Florida sun. As she spoke, she fanned herself with a crude palm fan.
