Square one. That’s where Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office cold case detectives started on the murder of 19-year-old Tara Sidarovich when they took over the case in 2010.

They were having a fresh look at a case that at that point was already nine years old, with the two main suspects having long since left Charlotte County — one whose whereabouts were unknown.
