Kids’ Needs needs Christmas gifts

Betty Leach and Caroline Csavas of the Cape Haze Women’s Club collect toys for the Kids’ Needs holiday effort. Kids’ Needs, an all-volunteer nonprofit that works all year to help needy children stay safe and in school, is collecting donations of new toys, games, gift items, clothing, or shoes for children ages 5-18 for Christmas. Donation collection boxes are located throughout the area including at Key Agency, 1201 S. McCall Road; Coney Island Restaurant, 1500 Placida Road; the Y, 701 Medical Blvd., and the VFW, 3725 Cape Haze Drive, Rotonda West. Kids’ Needs is a year-round organization collecting donations of school supplies, shoes, clothes, and toiletries and distributing them at no cost to students in need. During the holidays, they add toys and other gift items to the wish list. Tax deductible monetary donations are accepted to buy gift cards for qualifying parents.
