Varsity football coach Darryl Nicklow was watching the game and left the stands to work with the center/quarterback exchange with center Hunter Browning and quarterback Joshua Taylor. Nicklow said, “I’m going to be spending more time with these young kids and try to help them.”

The undefeated Sebring Blue Streaks came into Arcadia Sept. 12 with wins over Lake Placid and Avon Park, while the junior varsity Bulldogs were coming off a 52-8 loss at Hardee. With the Dawgs playing in front of their home fans in the first home contest of the season, an upset could have been possible.

Those thoughts ended in the first quarter as the Blue Streaks put up 22 points while shutting out the Bulldogs. The halftime score was 36-0 and a continuously running clock in the second half kept the score down to 42-0.
