The Southern Shockers 16U team played in the South Florida A State Championship games last weekend in Cape Coral. After beating the team from Boca Raton 6-3, they were beaten by the Bombers from Clearwater.

The loss dropped them into the loser’s bracket, and after winning their first game on Sunday, they were eliminated with a loss on a Texas tie breaker (each team is given a free runner on second base to start their half-inning. Play continues until either the home or away team is ahead at the end of an inning).
