When the pony express riders carried the mail, they’d exchange their horses every few miles to get another fresh one to continue the run. They couldn’t use the same horse for the entire distance — it just wouldn’t be able to make it all the way.

Riding one horse the entire distance is what the DeSoto County’s girls’ basketball team looked like they were doing in their final game of the season. In this case the one player was Tishonna Riley.
