NAPLES — After Charlotte High School’s 41-minute, 8-0 loss to Naples Friday afternoon, Tarpon coach Mike Thomas pulled Michael Young aside. The two talked while the rest of the team emptied their water bottles and gathered their things.

The coach spoke with his senior captain about finishing the year strongly after the loss. The Tarpons (2-11-2) have four games left once school begins again. They went into the break with an 8-0 mercy rule loss to Manatee and exited it with the quick game against Naples.
