The DeSoto County girls JV basketball team opened the home portion of their season facing the undefeated Sebring Blue Streaks. The Lady Streaks had beaten the Bulldogs just two weeks earlier in Sebring but this time they met on Bulldog turf.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead and, with a combination of tough defense and cold Sebring shooting, maintained that lead until midway in the opening period. Once the Streaks tied it at two apiece, Lo’Neija Brandon popped a three-pointer from the corner to put the Bulldogs back in front 5-2.
