Senior Bulldog KaReece Richardson brings the ball up the court in traffic against North Port. Richardson has good court vision and runs the DeSoto County offense. He got the team going on a 12-0 run by hitting a three-point shot to start their comeback in the 69-61 loss to North Port.

The DeSoto County Bulldogs won the “bookends” of their varsity basketball game against North Port 39-27, but the middle two periods put them into too deep of a hole to dig their way out of. The Bulldogs lost their first home game of the season 69-61 to even their record at 1-1.

Trailing by 15 going into the final period, DeSoto County coach Richard Koonce told the team, “You can’t get all 15 points in one shot — work it in and we’ll get it.”
