DESOTO COUNTY — Florida Highway Patrol reported a fatality in DeSoto County around 7:30 a.m. Monday.

According to the FHP report, Richard D. Jarvis, 54, of Arcadia, was driving a 2000 Ford Explorer westbound on County Road 760 approaching the intersection with County Road 769 (Kings Highway.)
