Daniel E. “Dan” Stewart Sr., 67, of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at home, with his family by his side.

He was born Feb. 10, 1946, in Wauchula, Fla., and moved to Arcadia in 1986.

Dan was a retired Journeyman Electrician and owner of Stewart Appliance Center of Arcadia. He was a member of Church of God Arcadia. Dan was a loving husband, father and grandpa, and will be deeply missed.

Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Bonnie O’Bryan Stewart of Arcadia; sons, Daniel Stewart II of Big Spring, Texas, and James (Casey) Stewart of Arcadia; stepsons, Dale Harned of Wauchula, Dennis (Darlene) Harned of Zolfo Springs, Fla., and Kenneth Harned of Zachary, La.; brother, David (Connie) Stewart Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla.; sister, Sandra (Larry) Booth of Ocala, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, D. Reid and Elon Brantley Stewart.

Visiting hours will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Church of God Arcadia, 1423 N.E. Oak St., Arcadia. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the church, with the Rev. Steve Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
