Don Mansfield, 75, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, in Port Charlotte, Fla.

He was born March 11, 1937, in Arcadia, Fla.

Don retired from his own bakery business and worked in the food-service industry afterward. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the Florida Gators football team on TV, and, above all else, spending quality time with his family. He was of the Church of God faith.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Faye Thompson of Arcadia; daughter, Donna Faye (Garry) Payne of Tallahassee, Fla.; son, Gary Allen (Kim Bowlin) Mansfield of Port Charlotte; four grandchildren, Molly, Tyler and Jason Mansfield, and Nicole Payne; three great-grandchildren, Wesley, Serena and Donavan Mansfield; and many nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Freeda P. Keen Mansfield; and several siblings.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Online condolences may be made at www.pongerkaysgrady.com.
