June E. Clemons

June E. Clemons, 80, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, surrounded by her family after a long battle with chronic illness.

She was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Orlando, Fla., to Reese K. and Alpha E. (nee Westfall) Entzminger.

June moved to Arcadia in 1948, from Pine Castle, Fla. She was a graduate of DeSoto High School, Class of 1950. June was the church secretary for Trinity United Methodist Church for many years. She was a member of the Arcadia Garden Club, Kiwanis Club, and she was involved in the Hosts Reading Program at Nocatee Elementary School. June enjoyed gardening, cooking, going to her beach house, watching Florida Gator football on TV, and most of all, spending quality time with her family. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

June is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 61 years, Nov. 10, 1951, Alvin B. Clemons; daughter, Linda Waldron; sons, Kenny Clemons and Johnny (Missie) Clemons all of Arcadia, Fla.; grandchildren, Krista, Bryan, Kerri, Sharon, Michael, Tyler, Emilie, and Zachary; and great-grandchildren, James, Adam, Sam, Savannah, Leslie, Madeline, Chloe, Lola, and Alek. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be conducted from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 No. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia, FL. Funeral services will be conducted today at 3 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Arcadia, FL, with Rev. James Wade officiating. Burial will be in Joshua Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Bldg. Fund, 304 W. Oak St., Arcadia, Fl. 34266. Online condolences may be made at pongerkaysgrady.com.
