Warren J. and Claire J. Miller

Warren J. and Claire J. Miller, devoted husband and wife, both of Arcadia, Fla., passed away in August within days of one another in Florida.

Warren was born in 1933, to Eldon and Burdie Miller in Melrose, Mass.

He was raised in Nova Scotia, Canada, and eventually Waltham, Mass., where he was a 1951 graduate of Waltham Vocational Technical High School. Warren was an excellent finish carpenter, self-employed for several years, and also worked many years for Cataumet Woodworks of Pocasset, Mass.

Claire was born in 1943, to Raymond and Marie (nee LeBoeuf) Levesque in Rhode Island.

She moved to Taunton, Mass., and eventually Cape Cod, Mass., to raise her own family. After attending secretarial school, Claire worked as an administrative assistant in the medical field, and at Comcast of Mashpee, Mass.

Warren and Claire both retired in 2004, and loved to travel and cherished time with family and friends. Warren also enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting, while Claire enjoyed reading, painting, sewing and crocheting.

Together, they are survived by their children, Christopher (Suzanne) Miller of Stoughton, Mass., David (Ann) Miller of Waltham, Ann (Jeff) Long of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Tracy (Miles) DeLoid of Mashpee, Carol Arruda of Harwich, Mass., and Michael (Amanda) McLaughlin of Centerville, Mass.; their 12 grandchildren, Ian, Eric, Amanda, Nicholas, Keith, Jason, Bethany, Melissa, Miles, Alexis, Nicholas and Madison; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Warren also leaves his siblings, Carl Miller of San Matteo, Calif., and Vivian Stofik of Hamburg, Pa. Claire also leaves her siblings, Florence Dubois of Rhode Island, Doris Bedwell of South Yarmouth, Mass., and Helene Chutjian of Florida. She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Lynne McLaughlin; and brother, Roger Levesque.

Visiting hours will be held from 1 p.m. until the funeral service at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (Route 151), Mashpee.
