Annual art show opens to the public

Artists and art lovers turned out Thursday at the Martin Art Gallery to open the 6th Annual DeSoto Arts and Humanities Council art show. Winners included Guy LaBree, first place with "Warrior's Ambush," Steve Kurrle, second with "Running Man," and Elise Zarli, third place for "Pan Flute Player." The artwork will be on display at 207 E. Magnolia St. through Feb. 1, adnthe exhibit is free and open to the public.
