The fair is fun for young and old alike, from the thrilling rides to the animal exhibitions ... and don't forget the terrific fair food. The action gets under way tonight for 10 days.

Young exhibitors get their first chance to raise and show animals, from rabbits and fowl to hogs and beef cattle.
The DeSoto County Fair opens at 4:30 tonight and for the next 10 days, there will be an array of livestock exhibits, rides, tasty food, pageants and talent shows.
This year additional pageants have been included for younger children, with the Kindergarten Princess and Sweetheart pageants starting tonight at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively. The midway will be open all evening for those who enjoy the rides and games.
