Kingsway ladies help DeSoto charities

The photo shows all the gifts staged in the Kingsway lobby ready for pickup by the organizations. It really was an all-out effort on the part of the members it looked like the bike section in Walmart.

This year the Kingsway Ladies’ Association, lead by Jean Oman and Jill Brouwer, coordinated with Captains Jose and Wanda Velez from the DeSoto chapter of the Salvation Army and Terry West from the Hands of Angels to provide gifts for the needy youths of DeSoto County.
On Dec. 6, Jose and Wanda Velez, along with Terry West, accepted the generous donations on behalf of their respective organizations at a special luncheon hosted by Oman and Brouwer of the KLA.
