This year, for the first time, Toys for Tots will be collecting toys for children in need in DeSoto County. This is the first year the Marine Corps program has been available in DeSoto.

For several years, there was a program here called Toys for Children; in the past two years alone, the organization gave out toys to more than 4,000 families in the county.
